INTERVENTION

SEXUAL REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH SERVICES FOR ALL

(Access to contraceptives , access to safe abortion services and to treatment for STL diseases)

This program contribute to the better health in the community/ to women of reproductive age through providing access to comprehensive sexuality education; Access to family planning options , Access to post abortion care services, SRHR to prevent, diagnose and treat sexually transmitted infections and counseling . It also involves empowering young people to know and exercise their rights including the delay to delay marriage and the right to refuse unwanted sexual advances.

AWARENESS AND SENSITIZATION ON SEXUAL REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH RIGHTS (SRHRS)

This program aims at awareness and sensitization on Gender, Sexuality and Health to improve health outcomes for women, children, and men themselves by promoting healthy, nonviolent and equitable masculinities through research, evidence based programming and advocacy. This includes a gender relational approach to examining men’s roles in sexual and reproductive health and rights; in maternal, newborn and child health; as advocates for women’s access to Sexual Reproductive Health Rights (SRHRS); and the social and economic impacts of gender, health and well-being.

LIVELIHOOD AND SKILLS DEVELOPMENT AMONG WOMEN OF REPRODUCTIVE AGE

This program aims at creating resilient, self-sustaining women of reproductive age in the grass root communities. This is being achieved through strengthening the livelihoods, nutrition and skilling development like; hair dressing and plaiting, Tailoring and knitting, Craft making (craft shoes, beads etc), Soap making, Sanitary pads making, Candle making, Talent development, Fabrication, Juice/ beverages making, Fashion and design, capacity building and income generating projects.

This program is being implemented through local leaders and community, in order to increase engagement and ownership of the project, as well as building capacity at the community grass root levels of Uganda.
